Gonçalo Versos Roldão joined VdA in 2021. He currently heads the VdA office in Timor-Leste, advising public and private entities on matters relating to banking & finance, oil & gas, telecommunications, and commercial and corporate law, in the context of various transactions and projects. He is also a Guest Lecturer at Universidade Católica Timorense.
From 2021 to 2025, Gonçalo was a member of VdA’s Public Law team, having worked on administrative law matters, particularly in the areas of public procurement, administrative litigation, public works, and public regulation. In this role, he advised several public and private entities, notably in the health, infrastructure, and energy sectors. More recently, he has focused his practice on the defence sector – an area in which he has sought to deepen his expertise.

Before joining the firm he worked at Macedo Vitorino & Associados as a Trainee Lawyer.
