Paulo de Botton joined VdA in 2022. He is an Associate in the Banking & Finance practice where he advises banks and other financial institutions on banking and regulatory matters and is actively involved in transactions relating to structured finance, syndicated loans and property finance transactions.
Paulo regularly works on the structuring and negotiation of securitisation transactions, advising issuers, originators, arrangers and other market participants on complex and innovative transactions. He acts as an adviser, negotiating with the parties and their representatives, and liaising with the relevant authorities regarding approval and the issuance of announcements.
He also has experience in property finance transactions, including those financed by securities issues, advising domestic and international clients from structuring through to completion, including the drafting and negotiation of financing documentation and the relevant security package.
He is also involved in various financial derivatives transactions, capital markets and regulatory matters, particularly concerning the incorporation and operation of financial institutions such as banks and their branches.
He previously worked as a trainee in VdA’s Corporate and M&A practice.
