Miguel González Amado

Miguel González Amado joined VdA in 2021. He is a Managing Associate of the Tax practice.

He has over 12 years of experience providing across-the-board tax advice.

Miguel focuses on providing tax advice to national and international groups in connection with corporate restructurings and real estate transactions, and to private clients in connection with direct and indirect taxation, taxes on wealth and stamp duty. He also has ample experience in tax litigation and in managing tax inspection, tax enforcement, and tax offense procedures.

Law Degree, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Postgraduate degree in Tax Law, Universidade do Porto Law School.

Ph.D. in Law, Universidade do Porto Law School (not completed – enrolment suspended).

Before joining the firm, he was a Senior Associate at PLMJ, Principal Associate at Cuatrecasas, Associate at Telles, and Tax Analyst at Deloitte.

Miguel has authored and co-authored several articles and publications, and has been a contributor to works and industry magazines, including:
