Joana Pratas Luís joined VdA in 2024. Senior Associate in the Social Economy & Human Rights practice.
Equipped with solid expertise in the fields of privacy and digitalisation, Joana’s activity is mainly focused on the development of best governance practices and of policies promoting and defending corporate human rights and inclusion & diversity. She provides legal advice to third sector organisations and foundations, particularly on internal and external compliance processes.
Law degree, Católica University Faculty of Law.
Forensic Master’s degree, Católica University Faculty of Law.
Before joining the firm, Joana worked as an adviser at the Office of the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Administrative Modernisation (2022-2024).
From 2019 to 2022, she held the positions of Director of Legal Affairs, Coordinator of the Board of Directors Support Office, and Coordinator of the Data Protection Unit of SPMS – Serviços Partilhados do Ministério da Saúde, E.P.E. at the Ministry of Health.
She was previously an associate lawyer at the law firm Telles de Abreu e Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL, in their Digital Privacy and Cybersecurity practice.
