Betyna Jaques

Betyna Jaques joined VdA in 2023. She is Senior Associate at the Litigation & Arbitration area of practice.

Betyna regularly represents clients in international commercial arbitrations across Portuguese-speaking countries (Portugal, Angola, Mozambique and Brazil), namely those revolving around the construction & infrastructure, energy and telecommunications sectors.

In addition to her work as counsel, Betyna has been appointed as administrative secretary in several arbitral proceedings seated in Portugal, Brazil and Belgium.

Law degree – Curitiba Faculty of Law.

Post-graduation in Civil Law – Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), France.

Masters in Litigation, Arbitration and ADR – Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), France.

Before joining VdA, Betyna Jaques integrated PLMJ Advogados´ Dispute Resolution practice, where she acted as counsel for states, investors, and companies in arbitration proceedings conducted under the ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL and CAC-PCCI rules.
