Ângela Viana

Ângela Viana joined VdA in 2015. Managing Associate of the Oil&Gas practice area where she has been involved in several transactions in Portugal and Angola, with a particular focus on energy, mining, investment, water and waste management and shipping.

She has been particularly active in providing assistance to several mining projects in Angola, notably in the negotiation/renegotiation of mining investment contracts, structuring/restructuring of joint ventures, farm-ins and farm-outs, assisting some of the world leaders of the mining sector.

Law degree, University of Lisbon Faculty of Law.

LL.M in International Business and Trade Law, Fordham University Faculty of Law (NY / USA).

Ângela Viana is Consultant at ASP Advogados, Vieira de Almeida's partner law firm in Angola.

Before joining the firm she worked for 8 years at Miranda Alliance's associated law firms (Miranda Correia Amendoeira & Associados and Fátima Freitas Advogados).

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association.

Admitted to the Angolan Bar Association.

Member of the Advisory Council of the World Association of Mining Lawyers.

Member of the Legal Council of the Portugal Diamantiers Association.
