VdA contributed to the 2020 edition of World Bank “Women, Business and the Law” report.

This report includes a series of studies that analyze laws and regulations affecting women’s economic opportunity in 190 economies, through eight indicators—structured around women’s interactions with the law as they begin, progress through, and end their careers—align with the economic decisions women make at various stages of their lives: Mobility, Workplace, Pay, Marriage, Parenthood, Entrepreneurship, Assets, and Pension.

VdA participated in the preparation of this report in the jurisdictions of Sao Tome and Príncipe and Timor-Leste through the contribution of Catarina Pinto Correia, Rui Andrade (Partners), Tiago Cochofel de Azevedo (Managing Associate) and Marina Costa Cabral (Associate).
