On the 20 March, VdA signed the Commitment of employment of people with disabilities – an initiative of the ICF – Inclusive Community Forum | Nova SBE.
The ICF wants to contribute to the resolution of the main obstacles to the inclusion of people with disabilities through the development of structured initiatives that encourage the active participation of the community.
Quoting Rui Diniz (founder and member of the Director Council of the ICF) «The implementation of this Public Commitment and jointly by the leaders of a group of institutions of major relevance and a significant size is an opportunity to reinforce the employability of people with disabilities and opens up a horizon of hope for all those who are faced with this challenge in their lives as well as for their families »
Besides VdA, the institutions that have already committed themselves to the commitment are the following: Accenture, Ascendi, Associação Nacional de Farmácias, Brisa, CTT, EDP, El Corte Ingles, Fidelidade, Galp, Grupo Manuel Champalimaud, IBM, Jerónimo Martins, José de Mello Saúde, Médis, Microsoft, Millenniumbcp, Município de Cascais, Nova SBE, Pestana, Prio, Randstad, Santander and Starbucks.
