VdA was nominated member of European Commission VAT Expert Group for the three-year period 2019-2021. The VAT Expert Group was created in 2012 with the purpose of advising the European Commission in matters regarding VAT, including evaluating legal initiatives and counseling the measures implementation throughout the EU State Members. This group has 34 organizations representing several stakeholders – from the academy until the corporate sector – being VdA the only Portuguese member selected by the European Commission.
The permanent follow up of the VAT Expert Group will be ensured by Conceição Gamito (senior adviser) helped by Francisco Cabral Matos (managing associate).
