This initiative, which follows the multi-stakeholder public consultation that closed on 18th of September, is a significant step toward shaping the future of AI, ensuring responsible and ethical practices for general-purpose AI models, especially those with systemic risks.
Over the next nine months, the EU AI Office in collaboration with the various experts will prepare the Code in an iterative drafting process that will influence the implementation of the AI Act.
