Assunção Cristas took part in the Global Agri Forum, where she shared her views on the challenges and opportunities that sustainability presents to the agribusiness sector.
During her intervention, she highlighted the growing importance of sustainability in reshaping economies and production models, arguing that it has moved beyond being a passing trend to become a defining factor in the evolution of organisations and markets. "Sustainability is not a fashion trend; it is something that will continue to grow and become increasingly embedded," she noted.
Her participation took place within the panel "Population Growth and Sustainability: Combined Challenges for Agrifood Production", which explored the challenges posed by population growth and the need for more sustainable food production systems.
Held under the theme "Building the Future of Agribusiness", the Global Agri Forum brought together experts, investors, business leaders and institutional representatives to discuss the future of the sector, with a particular focus on sustainability, innovation, food security and investment opportunities.
