Ricardo Bordalo Junqueiro (Partner) writes an opinion article for the Jornal Económico on the leadership of the European Union in these times of crisis.

"Of all the times when it could have been hit by a crisis of this magnitude, the European Union is fortunate (or worthy) to have a Commission President such as Ursula.
Crises reveal politicians and institutions. The challenges resulting from a health, budgetary and economic crisis such as the one we are experiencing require strong and far-sighted politicians and institutions. The European Union, with its well-known North-South divisions and heavy bureaucratic machinery had (has) everything to fail in this crisis, as was partly the case in 2008-2011."
