Mariana Pinto Ramos (Senior Associate) and Francisco Granja de Almeida (Associate) organised a brief legal consultation session for refugees of different nationalities, with the support of VdA in partnership with Pro Bono Association and JRS - Jesuit Refugee Service.
The Lawyers clarified fundamental concepts for a swift initial integration into the Portuguese society, such as the difference between the provision of services and work contracts, the demystification that jobs can be accumulated in Portugal, and the importance of submitting an expression of interest to the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF).
