VdA partner Pedro Cassiano Santos was interviewed by the Diário Económico about the fall of one of the biggest banks in America, where he reflected on the impact of the collapse and the lessons to be learned from this crisis.

In the interview, Pedro Cassiano Santos recognizes that “lawyers have to remain flexible” and avoid what he calls “hyper-specialization”, “in order to be capable of implementing alternative strategies for when certain market opportunities cease to exist. For this reason, it is vital to know how to proceed with various concepts”. He also states that “up to now, the crisis has resulted in the reduction of a certain amount of preparatory work in specific areas” only felt “in offices where there are specific teams, working solely on these kinds of operations”.
