Inês Antas de Barros was quoted in an article in Jornal Económico exploring the impact of the new wave of European legislation on businesses and how they should prepare to deal with increasing regulatory complexity.

The VdA's Information, Communication & Technology partner, emphasised that 'the main concern for companies, whether large or small and medium-sized, must be to understand, first and foremost, which new legal obligations apply to them'. She further noted that the starting point is to 'grasp the direction in which these developments are moving and respond in a structured way'.

Advocating an integrated and preventive approach, she added that 'the process of adaptation should be seen not only as a legal duty, but also as an opportunity to rethink the business and accelerate'.

The article also highlights that supply chain management, monitoring of internal processes and staff training are all critical factors in building 'a solid security framework'.
