Assunção Cristas will participate as a speaker in the event ‘From Ocean Energy to the Fuels of the Future: Portugal’s Potential’, to be held on 15 April as part of an initiative organised by the Repsol Foundation.

Taking place at a pivotal moment for the energy transition, the session will explore Portugal’s potential as a centre for innovation, supported by its natural resources and strong technical and scientific capabilities.

The session will be based on the findings of the study “Portugal Offshore Wind, Green Hydrogen and Sustainable Fuels – Power to X Pathways” by the National Laboratory of Energy and Geology (LNEG), highlighting the role of offshore wind in enabling the production of renewable fuels and the development of new value chains.

The event will bring together industry experts to discuss the evolving regulatory landscape and the need to accelerate policies and frameworks to support an effective and competitive energy transition.
