Joana Reis Barata is a member of the organising committee and a speaker at the conference ‘Compliance, Internal Investigations, and Sanctioning Proceedings against Companies’, taking place on 14 and 15 May at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

In her presentation, she will address the topic ‘The seizure of emails in the context of regulatory offence proceedings’, as part of the panel dedicated to internal investigations and sanctioning proceedings.

The conference brings together experts from different jurisdictions to discuss the challenges associated with compliance, internal investigations and sanctioning regimes applicable to companies.
