Paulo Pinheiro, Manuel Protásio, Paula Gomes Freire and Catarina Pinto Correia, members of the VdA working group following the European Funding issues, which include, among others, the Horizon 2020 and Portugal 2020 programmes, will participate in various initiatives of the Road Show "Investment Plan for Europe" (Juncker Plan), taking place today in Lisbon.
Jyrki Katainen, Vice-President of the European Commission for Employment, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness and Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, are open road showing the plan in 28 different countries, and are in Portugal today to promote the EU investment plan, worth over 300 billion euros, and to explain the new opportunities offered to governments, investors and companies, as well as regional authorities, trade unions and communities.
The open road show will cover the three pillars of the EU Investment Plan, namely:
- Mobilising finance for investment
- Making finance reach the real economy
- Improved investment environment
