David Paula participated as a speaker at the Innovation Forum - Economic Forum on New Trends and Innovations, that took place on 8 October at the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) in Porto. The event was organised by the German-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The VdA lawyer was part of the round table on ‘Emerging Technological Trends and Digital Transformation’, which aimed to discuss how companies can adapt to a constantly evolving technological landscape. The debate addressed the most relevant emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, among others, and their impact on business and society.

During his intervention, David Paula presented the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), highlighting it as a support tool for companies wishing to create an environment of trust and innovation using AI.
