VdA and NOVA School of Law host, within WhatNext.Law, an informal discussion on the Criminal Liability of Autonomous Vehicles, to be held at VdA’s Lisbon Office on 1 June between 5:30 – 7:00 pm.

Tiago Bessa (Partner) will make the opening remarks of the debate which will be moderated by Giulia Priora, Assistant Professor at NOVA School of Law, and will have the participation of Helena Correia Mendonça (Principal Consultant), and Inês Pereira Lopes, the winner of the WhatNext.Law 2021 award.

Preceding the discussion, Inês Pereira Lopes will present her winning article “Who will we blame when no one is driving? Rethinking criminal liability in accidents caused by connected and autonomous vehicles”.
