PRIME Advogados, in partnership with VdA Legal Partners, will hold the first edition of the Law & Economy Forum: Corporate Governance and Investment Strategies on 23 October at the EPIC SANA Hotel in Luanda. The event will bring together business leaders, legal professionals, academics, and national and international experts to discuss the role of decision-making structures and corporate governance in enhancing investment attractiveness and strengthening Angola’s economic framework.
The forum will feature sessions of reflection and debate focused on investment opportunities and corporate governance challenges, highlighting the importance of the interplay between Law and Economics in the context of sustainable development.
The opening session will be led by Emanuela Vunge, Managing Partner at PRIME Advogados, followed by a roundtable moderated by Ana Perestrelo de Oliveira, Of Counsel at VdA and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon. The panel will include contributions from António Caxito Marques (PRIME Advogados), Francisco Simão (Azule Energy), Natacha Barradas (Banco de Fomento Angola), Diogo Costa Gonçalves (University of Lisbon), and Ana Filipa Morais Antunes (Catholic University of Portugal).
As part of the event, the PRIME Advogados Legal Excellence Award will also be presented — an initiative designed to recognise legal professionals who stand out for their innovation, technical rigour, and transformative impact on the business and economic environment. The award will be introduced by João Manuel Lourenço (PRIME Advogados) and João Francisco (Catholic University of Angola), and will feature a jury composed of distinguished personalities.
Through this initiative, PRIME Advogados reaffirms its active role in fostering dialogue between Law and Economics, contributing to the development of a stronger, more ethical, and competitive legal and business environment.
