VdA Academia supports, for the eighth consecutive year, the Portuguese Moot Court on International Law, a competition in a Simulated Court on a theme of International Law. This event, set out by the Faculty of Law of the Nova University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Students Association of the Faculty of Law of the Nova University of Lisbon and Portuguese Society of International Law, is also sponsored by VdA. The two winners of the competition will be awarded Summer Internships at VdA.

The 8th edition of the Portuguese Moot Court on International Law will take place on 10 May 2019, at the Lisbon Court of Appeal, between 9am and 5pm, followed by a Closing Session and awards ceremony at the VdA Auditorium.

This competition, to which VdA Academia has been associated since the beginning, is distinguished by its pioneering spirit and importance in the national context and is increasingly bringing together more and more students, and this year more than 25 students are expected to participate, coming from various national law faculties.

The jury of the 2019 edition counts, among others, with the participation of Catarina Carvalho Cunha and José Miguel Oliveira, VdA’s coordinating associates, who, together with the other members of the jury, will judge the Moot Court sessions throughout the competition.
