The year 2025 was marked by a highly complex geopolitical landscape, which tested the adaptability and resilience of organisations and individuals alike.
Moments such as these are crucial: it is during periods of great instability that consistent principles and a solid strategy play a decisive role. At VdA, we remain steadfast in our conviction that sustainability is an integral part of our Purpose, our history and our future.
This edition of the Responsible Business Report reflects the ongoing effort and commitment of everyone at VdA and VdA Legal Partners. Every pro bonoinitiative, every training programme, every measure to optimise resources and enhance environmental efficiency is the result of serious, well-planned dedication. And above all, an expression of the fundamental idea that remains at the heart of our identity: “Keeping the whole in mind”.
In 2025, we reinforced our commitment through more hours of pro bono legal work, new training and development initiatives, and even more ambitious environmental targets. With the support of the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation, we have expanded the scope of our corporate volunteering, responding to emerging challenges and actively contributing to the construction of a more sustainable and balanced future across the various jurisdictions in which we operate.
We are proud of what we have achieved thus far, but very keen to do more and better. For us, upholding our commitment to Responsible Business is an ongoing exercise of engaged citizenship. In these uncertain times, it is this unity and determination that give us strength. Because who we are and what we do are intrinsically linked to our Purpose: to serve, contribute and transform.
