Luís Maria
Luís Maria joined VdA in 2023 and is currently a Consultant in the Tax practice.
With dual nationality, Angolan and Portuguese, he has relevant experience within and outside the Angolan jurisdiction, through the advising and providing legal advice in operations, namely in the areas of taxation, national and foreign private investment, corporate, banking and finance, industry and provision of services, to national and international clients.
His practice focuses on tax consulting and planning, as well as international taxation, particularly in operations involving matters related to the African jurisdictions of the VdA Legal Partners network (Angola, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe).
Simultaneously, he has dedicated himself to assisting HNWIs (High-Net-Worth Individuals) by providing legal and tax advice on private wealth management and asset restructuring transactions.
Law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University Law School.
Advanced Post-graduation in Banking Law at the University of Lisbon.

Before joining the firm he worked as a Junior Lawyer at the firm Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva & Associados and as a Consultant at the exclusive member firm in Angola of the Morais Leitão Legal Circle network, ALC Advogados & Associados, between 2018 and 2022.
