Vasco has joined VdA in 2022. He is an associate in the Banking & Finance practice area, where he has been actively involved, providing advice on financial derivatives and on several financing and capital markets transactions, both in Portugal and in Portuguese speaking jurisdictions in Africa, particularly Angola.
He has also experience in regulatory matters, particularly regarding the incorporation and operation of financial entities such as banks and their branches, and payment service providers or fintechs.
Previously, he integrated VdA’s Public Law practice area as trainee.
In 2025, he worked at the Brussels office of Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick SRL in the Banking and Finance practice area as a secondee.

Advanced Post-graduation in Banking Law, Lisbon Centre for Research in Private Law from University of Lisbon Faculty of Law.
Master's Degree in Administrative Law from the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University - School, with a thesis entitled: "The Iberian mechanism as a way of combating energy price hikes: Regulation, Decision, Sustainability and the Future" (O mecanismo ibérico como forma de combate à escalada de preços na energia: Regulação, Decisão, Sustentabilidade e Futuro).
Before joining VdA, he completed a summer internship in 2020 at the Compliance and Regulatory Control Department of Millennium BCP, and in 2021 he completed a summer internship in the Banking and Finance practice area at Abreu Advogados.
