VdA took part in the 2026 edition of the Women, Business and the Law report, published by the World Bank Group, contributing to the analysis of the jurisdictions of Portugal, Angola, Cape Verde, São Tomé and Príncipe, and East Timor.

The contribution was carried out by Eduarda Pereira Inácio and Inês Machado Godinho, under the coordination of Marina Costa Cabral.

The report is a leading international benchmark evaluating how legal frameworks shape women’s participation in the workforce and in business. It analyses legislation and its implementation across 190 countries, covering ten key areas including safety, access to childcare, pay, entrepreneurship, property rights and pensions.

VdA’s involvement in this global initiative reinforces its engagement in internationally recognised projects that inform policy development and promote legal equality and economic opportunity.
