Joaquim Pedro Lampreia quoted in Expresso on the French creation of a tax applied on the American digital giants’ business, the GAFA.
According to VdA partner Joaquim Pedro Lampreia, “a turnover tax like the one under analysis is a very rudimentary instrument that taxes what should not be taxed, disregarding what should be taxed, with large bureaucratic and economic costs for companies and coexisting with a tax on profits, therefore creating a double taxation”.
