Emanuela Vunge, Managing Partner at PRIME Advogados and International Partner at VdA, gave an interview to Jornal Económico, in which she outlined the new Angolan firm, which is the result of a merger between two leading firms: ASP Advogados and LEAD Advogados.

PRIME represents a new stage in strengthening VdA Legal Partners' presence in Angola and in the strategic positioning of the local team.

‘We want to become number one. We are very close to the main player in the market and already have access to the same level of projects as our main competitor, except in the oil industry,’ she said.

Headquartered in Luanda, in one of the capital's landmark towers, PRIME has 30 professionals, including partners, associates, legal and administrative technicians. It is positioned as a full-service firm with teams specialising in the main areas of business law.

Regarding the creation of the new structure, Emanuela Vunge highlighted the strategic alignment between the teams involved and their shared ambition for sustained growth: ‘It was the smartest and most strategic solution. VdA wanted to strengthen its presence in Angola and LEAD was looking for an international partnership that made sense for the future.’

Integration into the VdA Legal Partners network strengthens PRIME's local response capacity, allowing it to operate on a larger scale and with access to specialised knowledge in several jurisdictions.

‘Within the VdA Legal Partners network, the local team now has greater response capacity. There are prospects for many projects in new areas, which we believe we can enter,’ added PRIME's Managing Partner.

With strong leadership, an experienced team and the support of a leading international network, PRIME is establishing itself as a new player with the ambition and vision to actively contribute to the development of the Angolan legal market.
