Magda Cocco is a speaker at the event dedicated to International Data Centre Day, which will take place on March 26 at the Capitólio Theatre in Lisbon. Organised by the Portuguese Data Centre Association - PortugalDC, the event aims to debate key issues related to data centres, highlighting their strategic role in the development of the digital economy, the sustainability of the sector and the technological and regulatory challenges that mark the present and future of the industry.
The lawyer is part of the Expert Talk session on ‘Regulation and compliance: main concerns and legal frameworks’, where she shares her vision of the current and future legal landscape, addressing key issues such as data protection, cybersecurity and the need for regulatory harmonisation at national and European level.
The session will be moderated by Rui Franco, coordinator of PortugalDC's Technical Committee, and will be attended by other industry experts, promoting an open and enriching discussion on the challenges and opportunities that regulation brings to data centre operators in Portugal.
