Tiago Bessa, Partner in VdA's Information, Communication & Technology practice, will be a speaker at the International Section 2025 Global Conference, organised by the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), taking place in Hamburg from 14 to 19 October.
On 17 October, Tiago Bessa will join the panel 'Global Legal Frontiers: Regulating the Online Betting Boom Across the Globe', alongside Howard A. Fischer (Moses Singer), and moderated by José Ricardo de Bastos Martins (Martins Villac Advogados).
The session will bring together perspectives from different jurisdictions on the challenges posed by the rapid growth of the online betting industry, covering topics such as the new regulatory framework in Brazil, the Portuguese market, legislative diversity in the US, and Germany’s evolving national strategy.
