Teresa Pitorra participated as a speaker at the Insolvency and Recovery Congress 2025, which took place on 9 October at the EPIC Sana Marquês Hotel in Lisbon.

The event, themed ‘Insolvency in the Portuguese-speaking world: opportunity and community’, brought together leading experts from the legal, academic and financial sectors of Portuguese-speaking countries, promoting a wide-ranging debate on the common challenges and opportunities in the field of insolvency and corporate recovery.

Teresa Pitorra was part of the panel ‘Cape Verde: implementation of the regime and simplified recovery for small debtors,’ moderated by Ana Filipa Conceição (IPLeiria), which also included the participation of Anilda Veiga (Competitiveness Unit - Government of Cape Verde) and Rui Castro Lima (judicial administrator).

The Congress was organised by the Portuguese Association of Insolvency and Recovery Law (APDIR) and was supported by several prominent entities and law firms, including Raposo Subtil & Associados, Morais Leitão, Hemera Capital Partners, and LC Premium.
