António de Sousa Penelas, Partner at ASP Advogados, gave an interview to the magazine Pontos de Vista about the New General Labour Law, which will be implemented later this month.
When asked about ASP Advogados' positioning and differentiating factor, António Penelas begins by saying that it stands out "for its unrivalled track-record in corporate legal advice and for its innovative nature (...) for being a member of VdA Legal Partners" which, according to the lawyer, "allows us to increase our capacity to respond to clients in Angola, to the extent deemed appropriate to each challenge".

Regarding the new General Labour Law, António Penelas explains what changes this legislation will bring from a structural and material/substantial point of view.
In addition, the lawyer also highlights the benefits for workers and employers, in which he says that "one of the main benefits for workers comes with the (re)introduction of the indefinite employment contract as a rule, and the obligation to reduce fixed-term employment contracts".
