The 1^st International Arbitration Conference, organized by the Mozambique Internationalisation Committee of the Commercial Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAC-CCIP), took place in Maputo, on 30 May 2023.

Carla Gonçalves Borges, the Partner and Head of Practice of Litigation & Arbitration at VdA and member of the CAC-CCIP Board, participated as speaker in a panel focused on "New developments in arbitration", with a presentation on “Language and seat of arbitration”. 

Guilherme Daniel, Partner at GdA, VdA Legal Partners exclusive member in Mozambique, is a member of the Mozambique Internationalisation Committee of CAC-CCIP and had an essential part in the organisation of the Conference together with the GdA team – in particular with Rui Siquela and Kenny Laisse.

This was the first edition of the Conference, in which dozens of lawyers, arbitrators, judges and academics of Mozambique and other jurisdictions participated.
