The firm promotes a circular economy and starts recycling cork stoppers

Vda recently signed a protocol with Quercus to join the Green Cork Project. This project, which combines recycling and nature preservation, allows cork stoppers to be recycled and its value invested in the reforestation with original Portuguese flora species through FLORESTA COMUM project (www.florestacomum.org). Until the end of January 250 cork stoppers have been collected at VdA and delivered at Modelo/Continente supermarkets for recycling.

This protocol is part of VdA’s Green Project and allows to extend recycling to more materials, promoting a circular economy and reducing our firm’s environmental footprint.

The Cooperation Protocol was signed by Margarida Couto, partner responsible for VdA’s Corporate Social Responsibility and by Manuel Gouveia Pereira, VdA’s Green Project (Environmental Sustainability) manager.
