"It is undeniable that the ports are strategic for Portugal"

Miguel Mendes Pereira, Competition & EU practice partner, is interviewed by the daily Portuguese newspaper Diário Económico on competition in the port sector, a topic that was subject of an interview on the Portuguese TV channel Etv on 11 November and discussed at a conference organized by VdA on 12 November.

The partner answers some questions sharing a snapshot of the relationship of competition with the port sector, namely: why the sector is under the spotlight, the main conclusions of the study of the Competition Authority, the importance of long time frames for investors and the comparison of Portuguese ports with the Spanish ones.
