Conceição Gamito, managing associate at Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA)'s Tax practice, has been elected Partner of the VAT Forum, at this international network of advisors' annual meeting held on 25 April, in Estoril.

The VAT Forum is a network of independent legal advisors specializing in VAT and Customs, which focus on delivering in-depth and high level VAT training and organizing technical VAT discussions.

The status of Partner corresponds to the highest rank of VAT Forum members.
Partners are experts in the field of VAT or other subjects related to indirect taxation and are advisors on VAT or customs. They lead discussion groups and information sessions. Partners may also be asked to lecture in the International School for Indirect Taxation or to speak at the annual VAT Conference.

Alongside this distinction, Conceição Gamito was appointed as arbitrator to be included in the Arbitrator's List for the Center for Administrative Arbitration (Centro de Arbitragem Administrativa - CAAD). She is also one of the Tax lawyers in Portugal to be recommended by the Chambers & Partners directory.
