Maria Inês Costa joined VdA in 2021. Associate of the Oil&Gas practice area.  

Law degree at University of Porto Faculty of Law.

LLM in International Business Law at King’s College of London (currently preparing the dissertation).

Post-Graduation in Companies Law at Portuguese Catholic University, Lisbon Law School.

Specialisation course in International Law and International Relations at University of Lisbon Faculty of Law.

 

Before joining the firm, she worked at AVM Advogados as an Associate Lawyer, with particular focus in the Portuguese, Angolan and Mozambican jurisdictions. She advised in private investment and mining projects, as well as public finance / sovereign debt issue operations. She provided ongoing assistance in matters related to the oil & gas sector, such as foreign exchange regulations or company matters.

She completed her traineeship at AVM Advogados, working also with private investment, corporate law, foreign exchange, energy and natural resources.

Founder member and secretary of the General Meeting of Associates of JALP (International Association of Young Lawyers of Portuguese Speaking Countries).

Member of the Commissions of Corporate and M&A, Banking, Finance and Capital Markets and Environmental and Energy Law at AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers).
