Raríssimas - Associação Nacional de Deficiências Mentais e Raras
Extremely Rare Diseases National Association (Raríssimas – Associação Nacional de Deficiências Mentais e Raras) is a charity institution whose aim is to support “rare people with rare necessities”. This association presents a strong project in the health sector under the name “Rare Line Project” (Projecto Linha Rara). The project consists of an information and support platform aiming at providing and spreading knowledge on rare diseases and to promote the rights and better quality of living for those affected by them.
“Raríssimas” aims at promoting health education, and at reducing the feeling of isolation for those affected by rare diseases, learning ways to cope with them.
Under the scope of Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA)’ agreement with the Rare Project Line, VdA shall provide the social and legal support that Raríssimas association wishes to offer its members, namely to update all legislation applicable to patients, provide legal advice to patients requests and to assist on the relation between patients and the association.
