VdA considered an example in the Legal Sustainability Alliance Annual Report of 2016

Legal Sustainability Alliance (LSA) – a collaborative network of leading law firms with the purpose of taking positive action on climate change and with a core membership of over 100 law firms as well as a number of university law schools – recently published its Annual Report, showcasing the best practice in sustainability from various firms, including the most relevant examples of carbon footprint reduction.

VdA was highlighted, in the LSA Annual Report, as one of the firms that is most committed with tackling climate change.

VdA’s results in the area of environmental sustainability were assessed according to the 7 LSA Membership Principles, the firm having been specifically mentioned in relation to LSA Membership Principle 3 – Integrate awareness of climate change across your business – due to its focus on embedding sustainability into its business.

The firm was mentioned for the initiatives carried out under its environmental sustainability project, named Green Project, with focus on the annual energy efficiency contest, the Green Cork Project, the Quarterly Green Barometer, the Protocol entered into with a forest protected area to compensate GHG emissions, introduction of e-billing to clients, the innovative new format of its future CSR annual report and the recognition of the Green Project as one of the pillars of the firm at Board level. According to the LSA VdA provided tangible evidence of its leadership in tackling climate change.
