Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA) has formed an exclusive partnership with the renowned Equatorial Guinea (EG) law firm Gabinete y Agencia T&E (T&E). With offices in the capital city Malabo, T&E is the most recent member of VdA’s international network, VdAtlas.

T&E is led by partners Sergio Abeso Tomo – a former President of the Equatorial Guinea Supreme Court (2004 - 2009) and Vice-Minister of Justice (2010 - 2012) – and Librada Elá Asumu. They head a young and very dynamic team of local lawyers who are thoroughly familiar with EG’s market in a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, banking & financial services, domestic and international arbitration and energy. T&E lawyers have an international mindset and are used to working in accordance with the best international standards.

The Equatorial Guinea practice will be spearheaded by the Lisbon based Litigation & Arbitration’ Partner Rui Andrade and M&A and Corporate Finance’ Senior Associate Maria Araújo, who have been trusted advisors to some of the major international companies operating in the country in the last 10 years.

With this expansion into EG, VdA (through VdAtlas) now covers a total of 10 countries outside Portugal: Angola, Cape Verde, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Principe and Timor-Leste.
