'Temporary' taxes that remain

Tiago Marreiros Moreira, Tax practice partner, is quoted in an article on Expresso newspaper, which talks on the examples on the Portuguese legislation that maintain taxes that were created to be temporary but still remain active.

In the article entitled “‘Temporary’ taxes that remain”, the partner exemplifies with the ‘imposto de selo’ taxation, stating that “is about to become 356 years old” and the fact that this taxation “doesn’t fulfil the European Union legislation and doesn’t obey to certain values”.
