Opening session | Organizations in the Diversity Era

The opening session of the Lecture Series “Two gender talks”, organized by Vieira de Almeida and endorsed by the Foundation Vasco Vieira de Almeida, shall address the topic “Organizations in the Diversity Era”.

The economic significance of gender diversity in organizations has entered corporate agenda to stay, after 10 leaders from most preeminent global companies (Corporate Impact Champions) undertook a public commitment to change in the penultimate Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Davos, one that is based not only on moral and social grounds but particularly on financial and corporate strategy reasons.

With this initiative, VdA wishes to bring to the discussion the role companies and their leaders play in an issue that concerns all industries, the economy and society at large, requiring the committed involvement of both genders in order to advance significantly.

The opening session shall have as speakers Cláudia de Castro Caldeirinha, author of the book “Women Leading the Way in Brussels”, Professor and Leadership Adviser at Redscope Consulting and João Vieira de Almeida, VdA’s Managing Partner.

The conference, supported by the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation and the Mind Brain College of ULisboa, shall be held at VdA Auditorium in Lisbon on the 23rd May at 18h00.
