The conference “The future of work in a knowledge society” will take place on 2 June, 2010 at the Vieira de Almeida law offices in Lisbon at 2 p.m. The conference will be held by Associação para a Promoção e Desenvolvimento da Sociedade da Informação (APDSI - society for the promotion of knowledge) and will be chaired by professor António Brandão Moniz.

“It is our aim to respond to several requests we have received regarding this subject”, states Fernando Resina da Silva, partner at VdA and APDSI, who welcomed the contribution of Associação Portuguesa de Profissionais em Sociologia Industrial, das Organizações e do Trabalho (APSIOT – Portuguese association of work, organizational and industrial sociologists).
“We expect to deepen Portuguese society’s skills and knowledge in order to position our society more and more at a global level”, underlines Fernando Resina da Silva.
